Hofstay Broekhuizenvorst offers you Bed & Breakfast in an old village in the southern part of the Netherlands, called Limburg. If you decide to stay here you will find almost everything for your holiday. You can play sport, fitness or if you prefer you can be just a tourist!
A couple of years ago we decided to start with the Bed & Breakfast in the bedrooms in our house (built in the 18th century). Due to expansion of our family we decided to rebuilt the barn into a Bed & Breakfast. We now have four bedrooms (which have a bathroom each), a seperate livingroom with a kitchen. The barn is checked every year by the local firedepartment, for your safety!
The capacity is max. 12 persons. Therefore it is ideal for groupacommodation. But we also welcome you when you are travelling alone.
The Bed & Breakfast is situated near the Pieterpad and we offer you transportation from and to Swolgen, where you can find a startingpoint of the track.
Some places nearby are Arcen, Venlo, Venray, Horst, Moenchen-Gladbach (D) and Nijmegen. In Arcen you can visit a brewery, or the gardens round the castle (Kasteeltuinen). Further you can visit the "Thermen", where you can work on your fitness or use the swimmingpools, sauna, etc.
In Venlo you will find everything you want to find in a city, thus a cinema, a market, shops, a trainstation, a museum.
In Nijmegen you can see if you are lucky: the national Casino is situated near the river Waal.
Broekhuizenvorst offers you unspoilt nature, the river Maas, the so called "Schuitwater" and the national park "de Maasduinen".
After being in the nature you will naturally be hungry and you surely want to have a good meal. To fullfill your needs you can go to a pizzeria, or a cafe with dutch dish, or a pancake restaurant or the local specialty served by Sabine in her movable snackbar: kroket, frikandel and french fries!
The region is well-know for it's asparagus (everything you wanted to know but were afraid to ask for regarding asparagus you can find in the museum "de Locht") and if you visit us during the spring and summer you can go to the roses in Lottum.
All in all there are many things to do, places to see in and around the beautiful village Broekhuizenvorst.
